10-30-08-Here is Diane Dewalt, a lovely volunteer, who has been very dedicated to TGMR's mission and cause to help both people & animals....Diane is here with Dede, the almost 30year old horse, and Samson, the Nubian goat, who pal around with each other...Samson, has just be diagnosed with Right-sided heart failure, for which there is no effective treatment...We at the ranch are providing supportive care for Samson, who is just 8 1/2 years of age. Samson has been the "mascot" for the ranch, since Rambo died.  Diane does many animal care activities, feeding, watering the animals, brushing the horses, donkeys, and even bathing the horse's manes, tails, and forelock areas.  Diane also, has attended many TGMR events and worked "hard" to get Randy & Rascal to walk in a parade.  Great Spirit Diane!  We are blessed to have Diane help the animals.  Diane also comes with her daughter Haley, and together, both ladies care for all the animals at the ranch.

 

photo below is of Miss Haley, Diane Dewalt's daughter feeding Sundance, his senior horse feed and his medication with applesauce.  Miss Haley, has worked with all the animals at the ranch, and especially likes to work with the horses.  Haley, has been committed to helping out in many events at the ranch, The Open Gate Farm Tour, the 2 Halloween Parades, and other educational events offered by TGMR.  Miss Haley, has taken care of the environment, where the animals live, and encourages others to join in the mission of "helping both people & animals."
